2020 Isuzu D-Max Pick-up Truck unveiled in Thailand.
The 2020 D-Max will go on sale in Thailand first, then other countries later.
It will be launched in India in 2020.
It has new features like bi-LED headlamps, a touchscreen infotainment system, etc.
The new generation of Isuzu D-Max Pick-up Truck has been unveiled in Thailand. The pickup truck range offers a range of new features and more premium styling than the current D-Max.
The Isuzu D-Max is available both as a commercial vehicle in India and as a lifestyle vehicle in the form of the D-Max V-Cross. As such, all the premium features will be available on the V-Cross.
A recent update of the current generation named one trim level the ‘Isuzu D-Max V-Cross Z Prestige’, but thankfully the upcoming generation hasn’t added any more words to its name. It has gotten shorter, just like the name, but the wheelbase has grown longer. The press images show a vehicle with restyled headlamps that are now bi-LED units with LED DRLs flanking a massive black grille.
There’s more black on the exterior – the underside of the bumper, the wheel arches, wheels, sidestep, bed, and the inside of the tail lamps all are black as well. There are more creases on the bodywork, a change from the smooth styling of the current generation.
The inside has moved away from a utilitarian look to a premium car-like one. The dashboard is dominated by a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a dual-zone climate control system is present, and the instrument cluster is updated with a multi-information display in between the two main dials.
The Thai-spec D-Max is powered by a 3.0-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel that generates 188bhp and 450Nm. India might also get an updated version of the 1.9-liter engine but the jury is still out on whether it will get yet another hyphenated word added to its name with the engine.
The Isuzu D-Max will be launched sometime in 2020 and has no real competition in the Indian market because all its competitors are off-road capable SUVs but not pickup trucks.
