Jaguar Land Rover India has finally launched the 2020 XE facelift at a starting price of Rs 44.98 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, India) in the country. Being nearly Rs 4 Lakhs more expensive than the outgoing model, it has been introduced in both petrol and diesel fuel trims in two grades: S and SE. The 2020 Jaguar XE facelift comes with a lot of styling updates, while boasting of BS 6 certified petrol and diesel powertrains.
The 2020 Jaguar XE takes styling cues from the F-type while flaunting a muscular stance, sculpted bonnet and a bigger front grille. It also gets sleeker LED headlamps, new front and rear bumpers and a new LED tail-lamp cluster. Inside the cabin, it features an all digital instrument cluster, a huge touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a more conventional gear lever in place of the rotatory gear selector. The plastic quality of the cabin takes a huge leap as compared to the previous model.
Mechanically, 2020 Jaguar XE facelift is powered by the same set of petrol and diesel engines, albeit in BS 6 emission level norms. The petrol variants draw power from the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbocharged engine which developes top power of 250bhp and peak torque of 365Nm. The diesel variants continue to be powered by the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbocharged engine with maximum power output of 180bhp and peak torque performance of 430Nm. Both the engines are linked to an 8-speed torque convereter automatic transmission with power transmitted to the rear wheels.
