The 2020 MGZS images have surfaced on the inter-web. Set for a facelift, the standard version is currently not planned for the Indian market. Going by spy images, the SUV looks sportier than the India-bound MG eZS that will launched in the country by the end of 2019. First launched in November 2016, it was introduced in China the following year. The facelifted model is likely to be introduced in international markets during the second-half of 2019.

Visually, the facelifted model gets a hexagonal grille in front that accentuates its aggressive look. The sleek headlamps come with new Nissan Kicks inspired boomerang-shaped daytime running lights. Adding muscle to the 2020 MG ZS is the new bumper in front with wide outer ends and gloss black fins. It additionally receives inverted lower air intake, skid plates and new fog lamps.

Prominent changes have also been made to the rear as it gets new tail-lamps, restyled bumper similar to the one at front. Unlike the front fog lamps that are positioned below gloss fins, the rear ones are placed above that. Also new to the rear are the reworked faux dual exhaust outlets. The India-spec MG eZS on the other hand, will be heavily inspired by the pre-facelift MG ZS.

As for existing MG ZS specifications it comes with a 1.5-litre N/A petrol engine good for top power of 120 PS against peak torque of 125 PS. Also on offer is a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol unit which makes 125 PS. Talking of the 2020 MG ZS specs, in addition to the above units it will additionally receive a new 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 163 PS of power. The India-spec MG eZS was launched in November 2018 and is expected to go on sale here by the end of 2019. In India, expect the MG eZS price to fall in the range of Rs 20 lakh to Rs 25 lakh. MG Motors will soon foray officially in the Indian market with the launch of its first SUV, Hector sometime next month, while bookings for the model have started, the MG Hector price in India will be revealed on the day of launch.
