The commercial sales for the month of August 2013 in the conjugal bazaar were 33,153 units, LCV (light commercial vehicles) sales were 24,904 units and M&HCV sales were held at 8,249 automobiles. So that brought the total sales of commercial autos in the domestic market of the full year to 176,853 units. The total LCV sales stood at 127,547 units and the M&HCV sales for the year held the 49,306 numbers.

The SUVs and MUVs which comprise of the Safari, Aria, Sumo, and Venture were 2,803 vehicles. The total count of personal segment vehicles sold this year was 56,896 automobiles, wherein the compacts and sedans, gave out a total number of 44,780, and SUVs and MUVs gave 12,116. The export number for the August month of this year was 4,894 units and for the entire year were 20,606 automobiles.

Earlier reports said that the sales of Tata have dropped for the ninth consecutive month. The sales drop has been haunting all the car manufacturers of India, because of the surprising and the rapid economic downfall and the brisk increase in fuel prices. Amidst of all this, Tata has somehow managed to keep up a decent figure of sales and exports for this year and for the month of August. Even though the sales are not exactly in the brand’s ballpark, it is pretty respectable in an economically fragile environment.
