Swift is an iconic model from Suzuki which is very popular in the international car market. It is easily available in many parts of EU as well as in Japan. The car manufacturer has now announced that they are going to introduce the model in Great Britian as well. The British motoring public can buy the car from August 2013 onwards. However, Swift comes to the UK markets with only 1.5 Litre petrol engine.
The prospective buyers will have two options in petrol engine. They can either buy SZ3 or SZ4 petrol engines. SZ4 comes with many modifications both to the engine as well as the interiors. There are no easily discernible modifications to SZ3 except it appears that it is now 25 millimeter high and carries an emblem of 4 x 4. SZ4 has new skid plates both in front and back of the car. The wheels at the back have extended arches and side skirts. The model has lamps which light in the day and the mirrors fixed to the doors which can easily be shut electronically. The model has a 5 Speed manual. The Swift model offered to the public in UK is heavy. Its weighs higher (nearly ‘65’ KG) than any other two Wheel Drive model which runs on petrol. The company says this is due to the modifications introduced to the model. The car emits 126 G / KM, which is quite reasonable.
Suzuki has priced SZ4 higher; the price tag is 11,516 Pound for the base model of SZ3; while SZ4 is priced Pound 13,116. The organization is giving an option to buy the vehicle which is free of VAT till the last week of September. This way the buyers can save 500 Pound . It is not known yet whether Suzuki is going to offer the same model to the Indian public as well.
