The price of the BMW products will be hiked from 15 August 2013. The price is said reported to be increased by 5%. The president of the BMW Group , Mr. Philipp Von Sahr said ,”BMW Group is aiming to maintain sustainable leadership in the Indian market with unique phenomenal products which exceptional product substance”. Right from the establishment of the company BMW company has always been innovative and responsible in manufacturing their new cars. Mr Von added that the prices are being increased to ensure that they’ll help the sustenance of the quality of the products that are planned to be manufactured in coming years. He also added efforts are being made to ensure that customers enjoy their driving experience as they did before. The reason for this announcement is maybe due to the increase in import costs of the products to India. The Rupee’s decline is the major factor for the price rise. The decline of the rupee is a matter of concern and has made the price rise inevitable. German car manufacturer Audi has also hiked the prices of its products by 4%.
BMW today sells a range of vehicles in India which includes Sedans series, SUV’S, and sports car M series. The price range of these vehicles is in between INR 28.6 lakhsand INR 1.73 crore. The BMW luxury car, the Miniseries, is now available in the market at the cost of INR 26.6 lakhs. To compromise on this price hike, the company is offering financial solutions to customers. The company has promised to provide a BMW lease for corporate customers and individuals along with insurance options.
