Despite the industrial slowdown, six new cars are waiting for a grand launch before Diwali 2019. The time is ripe for the launch as people usually love to invest in automobiles during this period.
Showcased at the Auto Expo 2018, the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is inspired by the Future S-Concept. The HEARTECT platform is the base for the SUV-inspired design of the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso. Powered by a BSVI-compliant petrol 1L engine, the vehicle is available in four variants. This car gets an AMT as well.
The Hyundai Elantra Facelift is long-awaited. A new cascading grille with angular headlamps give this remodeled vehicle an aggressive look. Other changes include the tail lamps and bumpers. A 2.0L petrol engine with 6-speed manual gearbox powers the Hyundai Elantra Facelift. A torque converter is also in the offing, but there is no diesel engine variant available today.
Maruti Suzuki XL5
After the success of the Maruti Suzuki XL6, the company is introducing the Maruti Suzuki XL5 or the Stingray. It looks like a premium version of the Maruti WagonR. Spy images show that the vehicle gets its 15-inches alloy wheels from the Maruti Suzuki Ignis. There are a few more cosmetic changes, but the engine options are the same.
The Renault Kwid gets an updated version in the form of Renault Kwid Facelift. Inspired by Kwid EV(KZ-E), the Chinese version, the Renault Kwid Facelift gets new headlamps and grille. Structural changes can be expected to satisfy BNVSAP safety norms. A BS-VI compliant engine could be on offer.
The Tata Altroz could see an immediate launch to counter the Hyundai Elite i20. Like the Harrier, it might come with a diesel engine option alone. The Tata Altroz cabin is also inspired by the Tata Harrier with a hybrid digital-analogue dashboard and a floating-type infotainment system.
Tata Tiago Facelift is another remodeled vehicle due for a launch soon. This vehicle gets a fully digital instrument cluster along with new headlamps and a redesigned grille. The bumper gets a facelift, as well.
