Though we all know that electric vehicle market is going nowhere in India and the market is fully dominated with petrol and diesel powered vehicle. We do not have many electric vehicle manufacturing companies to count the names if we have to. Terra motors, one of the few electric vehicles manufacturing company is planning to open a wide network of 80 dealerships across the nation. Last year Terra motors came up an Electric Superbike name Kiwami. The bike was launched at a retail price of 18 lakhs for just 13bhp of power with charging time of 6 Hours.
The Japanese manufacturer will be investing near 31 crores in their new manufacturing unit plant in Gurgaon. The expansion of the dealership network will surely help to grow the sales figures of the company. Currently Terra motors has planned only to sell electric scooters and electric rickshaws to the market, but from the next year and so on, company will go full throttle selling four-wheelers electric vehicle as well.
Teppei Seki, country director, Terra Motors India stated, "As we are progressing and expanding our footprint in India, the new dealership will mark our entry into several states, which houses many industries. Therefore, we are confident that our electric rickshaws, known for their ruggedness, durability, battery efficiency and after service support will appeal to our customers.
