Maruti Suzuki Dakshin Dare, the most anticipated rally of South India, would start its 9th edition from July 16, 2017 from Namma Bengaluru. Adding a new twist this year, the rally will not be limited to the gruelling terrains of South, but will also transition into the terrains of West, bringing in more excitement and challenges. The rally will be flagged off from Orion Mall, Rajaji Nagar, Bengaluru on 16th July, 2017 and the first leg of the rally will take off on the morning of 17th July. This thrilling experience will culminate into a prize distribution ceremony in Pune, on 22nd July, 2017.

For the first time, the rally will make its way towards Pune while covering the most scenic yet challenging terrains of Chitradurga, Belgaum, Kolhapur covering a total of 2200 kms. The leg 1A of the rally would start from Bengaluru on July 16 with exploring several local landscapes of the city. On 17th July, the leg 1B of the rally would commence from Bengaluru towards Chitradurga. Upon reaching Chitradurga the next day, the leg 2 of the journey would start with roaming in Chitradurga the whole day. On July 19, the leg 3 of the rally would kick off from Chitradurga towards Belgaum. The rally would reach Belgaum on July 20, from where it would head to Kohlapur as part of leg 4.
On July 21, the penultimate leg (leg 5) of the rally would start their journey to Pune from Kohlapur. And, July 22 would be the 'Judgement Day' as the winner of the 9th edition of Maruti Suzuki Dakshin Dare would be announced on this day. There would be prize distribution ceremony held to falicitate the winners as the journey comes to an end after grueling stretch of 2200 kilometers. Going down the memory lane, The 8th edition of Maruti Suzuki Dakshin Dare held last year was won by Suresh Rana in Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. Undoubtedly, identical to the last year, this year's rally would also test the muscle of both machine as well as man, while passing through tumultuous terrains.
