ABT Sportsline tricks out the Audi TTS

Snapshot: The latest generation Audi TTS has received the aftermarket treatment from ABT Sportsline.

We were very much impressed with the Audi TT 2015 45 TFSI when we took it for a test drive recently in Delhi, but for those who want more muscle, ABT Sportsline has elaborated a power package. They actually worked on the higher specification TTS version which isn’t available in India, but it comes with the same four-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine so some of the tweaks they worked on should be available for the version sold locally.

After working their magic, ABT managed to squeeze an additional 60 bhp and 80 Nm of torque from that engine, thus lifting the grand total to an impressive 370 bhp and 460 Nm. They haven’t released any details concerning the car’s performances, but it should turn out to be a tad quicker than the stock Audi TTS Coupe which needs 4.7 seconds to get from 0 to 100 kmph. As a reminder, the version sold in India has 226 bhp and runs the sprint in 5.3 seconds.

Getting back to this modified Audi TTS Coupe at hand, ABT Sportsline also made some subtle body changes by implementing a newly developed front spoiler, custom side mirror caps and they also mounted a fixed wing at the back. Moreover, they are offering a variety of body wraps with a metallic, glossy or matte finish while the stock wheels can be removed and replaced with one of the available sets ranging in sizes from 18 to 20 inches.

ABT’s Audi TTS can be further customized by installing a sports exhaust system featuring a quad pipe arrangement and there’s also a sports spring set which lowers the performance coupe by 35 mm at the front and 30 mm in the back. Other goodies worth mentioning include the rear skirt insert, sport stabilizers, front & rear wheel spacers and some minor interior tweaks like bespoke floor mats, Alcantara accents and LED door entrance lights with the tuner’s logo.
