Bajaj Auto Limited has confirmed that the new variants of Bajaj Platina and Bajaj V will be launched later this month.
The company launched the new variants of the Pulsar and CT 100 along with the ES spoke variant of the Bajaj Platina earlier this year in a bid to improve its market share, which has gone down drastically from 20 percent to 16 percent in the current financial year. However, the sales numbers have seen a growth in the month of August and the company is expecting a better result in the coming months.
Bajaj Auto is further expected to introduce new variants of the other popular models in order to increase its market share to 26 percent by the end of December. Apart from this, it is also planning to export three-wheelers to foreign markets to attain a healthy overall profit.
The automaker is yet to reveal the specifications and details of the two new products. But, one can expect them to be the refreshed versions of the current models with notable changes in design and paint schemes.
The ES spoke variant of the Bajaj Platina was introduced last month, which features a 102cc engine to produce a maximum power output of 8.2 bhp at 7,500 revolutions per minute and a peak torque of 8.6 Nm at 5,000 revolutions per minute. The engine comes mated to a 4-speed gearbox to transmit the power to the front wheel. The new version of the Bajaj Platina can be expected to offer a better performance.
