Japanese auto major Honda has plans to launch several new products within next one year including the next generation Jazz, new Honda City and Brio based MPV 'Mobilio' in India. While the company has already unveiled the Jazz and Mobilio, the new generation Honda City is scheduled to be unveiled next month, a report published in ET claims. Coming in total six to eight variants, this time Honda city will also come in diesel avatar. The Japanese auto major will also unveil this vehicle at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo as well, while the launch will take place by mid 2014.
Whereas, the petrol version of the car will have the same 1.5-litre i-VTEC motor, the diesel engined Honda City will probably have the 1.5-litre i-DTEC mill which is being used by the Amaze. Developed on the new generation Jazz/Fit platform, the all new Honda City will share several components with the upcoming Jazz hatchback. In fact the City is likely to be developed on Honda's 'Exciting H Design' philosophy, first seen on the new generation Jazz/Fit.
The new Honda City is expected to be much sportier and aggressive looking than ever with an entirely new look. It will have bigger wrap-around clear lens headlights with projector lamps, newly designed integrated LED tail lights on the rear, swoopy roof line and prominent character line, creases on both sides.
Other than the all new Honda City, next-generation Honda Jazz and Honda Mobilio MPV too are expected to be showcased at the upcoming Indian Auto Expo.
