All-New Honda Jazz is just two weeks away from officially hitting the Indian roads, as it would be launched on July 8, 2015 in the country. But prior to that, our friends at Team-BHP have revealed all the details regarding the variants and features of the hatchback. Just so you know, Honda Jazz can be booked at all the company authorized dealerships at a token amount of Rs. 51,000.
So, talking about the variants of all-new Honda Jazz, it would be offered in a total of five trims - E, S, SV, V and VX - in both the petrol and diesel fuel trims. The nomenclature of the grades is quite identical to the City mid-sized sedan. The new hatchback would have pedestrian injury mitigation system, driver seatbelt and key-off reminder, a day/night rear view mirror, LED high mounted stop lamp, LED tail lamps, MID with blue illumination, fuel consumption warning/display, average fuel consumption display, tachometer, one-touch lane change indicators, power steering, tilt steering and power windows on all four doors as standard across the entire variant line-up.
The mid variant S, along with all the features of base variant E, would come loaded with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) as standard safety feature. In addition, it would also have an integrated audio system with a, 8.9 cm screen, 4 speakers, hands free telephone, audio controls on the steering wheel, a power socket, a height-adjustable driver's seat, electrically adjustable ORVMs, a rear parcel shelf, central locking and 3 grab handles. All these features really make it a value-for-money stuff.
Moving on to the next variant SV, it would have dual front airbags, multi-view reverse parking camera, front fog lamps, one touch up/down operation for the driver's window with pinch guard, rear micro antenna, MID with LCD display, Eco assist system, instantaneous fuel economy display, outside temperature display, integrated audio system with 12.7 cm screen, and hands-free telephone control on steering wheel as standard, apart from all the features available on S variant. Also, Honda Jazz can be ordered in seven paint shades - Sunset Orange, Urban Titanium Metallic, Carnelian Red Pearl, Orchid White Pearl, Taffeta White, Golden Brown Metallic, Alabaster Silver Metallic.
Coming to the V variant of Jazz, it would be equipped with all the contemporary features such as rear windshield washer and wiper, alloy wheels, ORVMs with integrated turn indicators, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, auto air-conditioning with touchscreen control panel, electrically foldable ORVMs and paddle shifters (CVT) as standard. And, last but by no means the least, the flagship variant VX would have a rear spoileran AVN system with a 15.7 cm touchscreen, DVD player, navigation, black fabric upholstery, seat back pockets, adjustable rear head restraints, 60:40 split rear seats, rear seats multi-utility modes and rear seat reclining.
Mechanically, Honda Jazz would share its engines with the Amaze compact sedan with the 1.2L i-VTEC petrol and 1.5L i-DTEC diesel motor at helm. Transmissions would include a 5-speed manual (petrol), a 6-speed manual (diesel) and a CVT automatic (petrol).
