The all-new Hyundai Santro has registered over 28,800 bookings and more than 1,29,500 enquiries within 22 days in the country. The company had started the online bookings for the hatch from October 10, 2018 in the Indian market. The overwhelming response for the Santro also helped the South-Korean automaker in achieving its highest ever monthly sales in domestic market with 52,001 units. For those asking, Hyundai Santro is the first company vehicle to come with AMT gearbox and is priced in range of Rs 3.89-5.64 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi).
Commenting on the October sales Mr. Vikas Jain, National Sales Head - Hyundai Motor India Ltd. said,, “Hyundai achieved highest ever domestic sales with 52,001 units and a growth of 4.9%, on the strong demand pull created by the blockbuster launch of India’s Favourite Family Car - The All New SANTRO, improving customers sentiments and setting new benchmark in the industry. The All New SANTRO clocked wholesale of over 8500 units along with strong performance of the Hyundai ‘Ten Thousand Club Cars’ CRETA, ELITE i20 and GRAND i10.” Hyundai Santro is available in five grades: D-Lite, Era, Magna, Sportz and Asta. The AMT and factory-fitted CNG kits are offered in Magna and Sportz variants.
Hyundai Santro comes with several exquisite features in form of first-in-segment Rear AC vents, 17.64-cm touchscreen audio video system with voice recognition and smartphone connectivity with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay & Mirror Link, Rear Parking Camera, Front & Rear Power Windows, Remote Keyless Entry etc. to name a few. As for safety, it comes equipped with Anti-lock Braking System with Electronic Brake-force Distribution and driver airbag as standard features, while Dual Airbags, Impact sensing Auto Door Unlock, and Rear Parking Sensors are offered in the top-end variants.
