The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga MPV has received a sportier upgrade in the form of the all-new Ertiga GT variant and it will soon race into the Indian market. It will happen once the new Maruti MPV GT version is officially unveiled on 23 March 2019.
Before proving its mettle in the Indian shores, the new Maruti Ertiga GT will initially be made available in Indonesia for sale, which will then be followed by international sales once it reaches global dealerships.
Prior to its official launch, the new Maruti MPV’s images have surfaced. The pictures of the production-spec variant of the new Ertiga GT car put a clear perspective in detail.
As evident from the images, the new Suzuki Ertiga GT sports body kit all over, with extended front and rear bumpers and in a jet black shade, while the exterior of the new GT model also wears a dash of red tones. Moreover, complimenting the sporty appeal of the new Ertiga GT are the alloy wheels in full-black colour along with a unique rear spoiler and grille. And another addition that makes the sporty new Ertiga GT model stand apart from the Ertiga standard variant is the unique red-coloured ‘GT’ logo.
The new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga GT engine is a 1.5-litre petrol motor, just like in the India-based Ertiga model. As per sources the interior largely remains the same except for few small changes and seat covers in black shade.
For India, Maruti Suzuki is working on including a 1.5-litre diesel engine as the company readies to launch the new Suzuki Ertiga GT.
Moreover, after Maruti discontinued the Ertiga MPV LDi variant, the company is developing a 6-seater Ertiga variant which is expected to reach Maruti dealerships by late 2019.
