British luxury car manufacturer Mini is all set to launch its new generation Countryman in India on 2nd May, 2018. The car was displayed at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo in February and grabbed attention of many buyers. Based on the same platform as the BMW X1, the Mini Countryman will be assembled locally at BMW India’s Chennai facility and it is expected to be priced between Rs. 36.50 lakh and Rs. 45 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). As we reported earlier, booking of the car has already commenced.
The 2018 Mini Countryman will be sold in three different variants, with two of them being powered by petrol engine. The SUV is one of the most popular offering from Mini India and the British marquee is hoping to see greater sales result with the new model. Thanks to the local assembling of the SUV, the 2018 Mini Countryman will be able to achieve competitive pricing.
New generation Mini Countryman comes sporting a fresh styling language. It appears larger and wider than the predecessor, while it boasts a larger front grille, new LED headlamps, muscular flared wheel arches, new design alloy wheels. So far, it looks bigger, better and muscular. Thanks to the dimensional enhancement, it offers more space to the occupants inside the cabin. The boot capacity has been increased by 30% to 450-litre.
The new Mini Countryman gets a wide range of advanced technology and features. It gets a large touchscreen infotainment system, multiple driving modes, cruise control, Park Assist, head-up display etc. Mini has made it safer for the occupants by adding features like Brake Assist, Dynamic Stability Control, Crash Sensor etc.
