Toyota India showcased a copiously updated version of its Land Cruiser Prado at the on-going Auto Expo 2018. Changes made to the Land Cruiser Prado include updated exteriors and a bunch of new features. The front gets a new grille, LED headlamps and reworked bumper. At the side, it now features a new window frame, redesigned alloy wheels and puddle lamps on the wing mirror. A revamped bumper at the back round-up the tweaks made to the exteriors.
The spruced-up cabin comes with an all-new speedometer and new seats which are wrapped in a new upholstery with heating as well as cooling functions. Door handles inside the cabin have been painted and it also gets a new steering wheel.
Power source on the new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado is the familiar D-4D, four-cylinder diesel engine with maximum power output of 170bhp along with 410Nm torque. For power transmission, the engine comes linked to a 5-speed automatic unit which directs power to all four wheels through a 4WD system. As for the 4WD tech, the Land Cruiser gets crawl function, multi terrain select and a panoramic view monitor.
Aside from the existing colours, the new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado will be offered with three new colour options including Blackish Ageha, Avant Garde Bronze and Vintage Brown Pearl. Besides the all-new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, the company also revealed its Honda City rivalling, Toyota Yaris at the biennial event. The model will make its foray in the C-segment and is likely to be launched in India by April this year.
