The Mercedes Benz A45 AMG featuring all the varied aerodynamic parts from the Edition 1 and equipped with the highly potent 2.0-litre, four -cylinder engine putting out 360PS, is about as extreme a Mercedes hot hatch can get. However, the good folks at the AMG Performance Studio rose up to the challenge, added a bit of femininity to the lethal hatch and whipped out a custom A45 AMG model called ‘Erika.’
The Mercedes Benz A45 AMG ‘Erika’ features a host of new features that differentiates itself from the standard car. To begin with, the Erika features a stunning shade of matte black with neon pink pin striping across the sides, outer rims of the wheels, rear wing end plates, on the front grille and on the centre caps. The side of the car are dolled up with a pink line ending in a graphic similar to a heart rate monitor. Parts of the mirrors and the rear spoiler also have gotten a dash of neon pink. The eye-catching exteriors with the custom pink detailing and artwork continues on the inside of the custom A45 AMG as well - with ultra black interiors and bright pink accents on the seats, AC vents and door panels.
No changes have been made under the hood. The A45 AMG ‘Erika’ is being powered by the same turbocharged, 2.0-litre, four cylinder engine that is able to churn out 360PS of max power and 450Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 7-Speed AMG Speedshift dual-clutch gearbox. The 0 to 100 kmph mark is reached in 4.6 seconds with a top speed of 250 kmph.
Mercedes Benz rightly so, is referring to the model as the ‘Pink Panther’ of its product portfolio.
