As festive season Approaches, Suzuki Gixxer crosses 10,000 mark in October sales

Snapshot: Suzuki launched Gixxer 150 last year and since then Gixxer has been one of the most desired Indian motorcycles of this time.

Gixxer 150, one of the most successful Suzuki motorcycles in India has added another feather to the hat, Gixxer 150 has crossed 10,000 mark in terms of October sales. As festive season is knocking on-doors and among Indians, this season is considered to be an auspicious time to bring a new vehicle home. This season often comes with a slew in sales figures, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd recorded a significant growth of 15% in Gixxer sales for the month of October. A total number of 35,936 units were sold in October 2015, as compared to 31,240 units that were sold to its previous month.

Mr. Masayoshi Ito, Managing Director, SMIPL, said, “We are happy that our Gixxer series has crossed 10,000 units in market sales in October 2015, which is a testimony to its unmatched appeal amongst discerning young customers and also a sign of positive reception to our overall product portfolio in the market.”

Suzuki launched Gixxer 150 last year and since then Gixxer has been one of the most desired Indian motorcycles of this time. It is powered with a 155cc 4-stroke, 1-cylinder, air-cooled engine that churns out 14.6bhp of maximum power at 8000rpm and 14Nm of max torque at 6000rpm.
