After much delay, speculations, teasers and spy shots, Honda has launched the tenth generation 2016 Honda Civic in Thailand, making its debut for the Asian markets. The all-new Civic launched in Thailand is the first time new generation model has set foot outside of North America. And this is also the first time Honda has produced a model in their new plant in Rojana Industrial Park, Prachinburi where engine production commenced last month.
Starting with the grades first, the 2016 Honda Civic will be available in four grades in Thailand - E and EL with the 1.8-litre engine option and Turbo and Turbo RS with 1.5-litre engine option. Honda will offer the new Civic with five exterior color options, namely - White Orchid Pearl, Crystal Black Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic and Cosmic Blue Metallic.
As mentioned above, the 2016 Honda Civic will be offered with two engines in Thailand. The 1.8-litre i-VTEC engine will be producing 141 hp and 174 Nm of torque, while the 1.5-litre VTEC TURBO engine developed under Earth Dreams Technology, will produce 173 hp and 220 Nm of torque. Both the engines will be mated to a CVT transmission and are produced at the Prachinburi plant.
As for the features, the 2016 Honda Civic will come with an Engine Remote Start, electric parking brake, 7-inch Display Audio Touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay smartphone integration compatibility and Honda LaneWatch blind spot monitoring system. Honda will also offer the Modulo Custom Parts to give the Civic a sportier appeal.

With the debut at the Asian markets, Honda has made clear that the 2016 Civic sedan will be available in the rest of the markets soon. As for India, we are not sure about its launch date, but we will keep you updated on the same.
