Ashok Leyland launches two new products

Snapshot: Ashok Leyland-Nissan JV launches PARTNER truck and MiTR bus

Ashok Leyland-Nissan joint venture stable has launched two new Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs) - PARTNER truck and MiTR bus. Both the LCVs are now available in Japan and Europe. After the successful launch of MPV Stile in October 2013 in India, these two are the latest products under the JV. The Stile comes with a starting price of Rs. 7.49 lakh to Rs. 9.29 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

"The new launches will help fill the gap in product portfolio," said V Sumantran, Vice-Chairman, Ashok Leyland. "Even in tough times we have learnt that one has to keep continue to investing for the future and in this industry a lot of emphasis is on having the right product addressing the right customer", said Sumantran

Partner is the next-generation truck, which comes with an air conditioner, and has a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) capacity of 6.6T. The product is targeted at parcel goods, durables, perishables and FMCG products among others. It is priced between Rs 8.89 lakh and Rs 9.49 lakh.

The MiTR is a 26+2 seater bus with parabolic suspension and is priced at Rs 12.49 lakh. Both the prices are for ex-showroom Chennai.
