Ashok Leyland, a Hinduja Group flagship firm and commercial vehicle maker has bagged a Rs 321 crore order from The Institute of Road Transport (IRT), Tamil Nadu and this order is for supply of 2,000 passenger chassis. the deal will also include the supply of 100 fully-built small buses to various state transport undertakings in Tamil Nadu. The order is scheduled to be supplied during the first half of 2018-19, according a company filing with the BSE.
Speaking on this, Vinod Dasari, MD, Ashok Leyland said, "We have had a long and proud partnership with IRT. We will continue our efforts towards their success."
