This is a promotional car to celebrate an ongoing collaboration between the Aston Martin Milano dealership and the renowned champagne producer Dom Pérignon. It’s going to be showcased starting this month at different venues in Italy and will be heading to a road trip summer tour at select restaurants and resorts throughout the country.
What sets this Aston Martin Rapide S apart from the standard model is the layout of the trunk as it now features a specially made hand built cellar that can hold up to three bottles of the finest champagne from 1998, along with two crystal glasses as well as two bottle openers. It should be mentioned this bespoke cellar is actually removable and can be taken out whenever necessary to use the car’s smallish trunk which has a maximum capacity of 317 liters.
Although this particular Aston Martin Rapide S is just for show, the company’s dealership in Milano, Italy will actually start to offer the cellar as an optional equipment called “Deuxième Plénitude Special Kit.” It will be available once the promo car will finish the summer tour, but it’s not known at this point how much it will cost. Needless to say, it will probably be a small fortune taking into account that it was tailored to the Rapide S and also has expensive champagnes and glasses in a high-end leather bag.
It will be interesting to see how many people will actually buy the Aston Martin Rapide S with this special equipment. The companies have not specified whether the Deuxième Plénitude Special Kit will remain a product exclusively for the Italian market or whether they plan on expanding availability in other countries as well.
Aston Martin Milano says the tailor-made wine cellar is just one of the new options set to be offered exclusively for the Rapide S high-performance sedan.
