Aston Martin the British luxury and performance car manufacturer celebrated its centennial by flaunting their most symbolic cars ever built. The event is being celebrated in the Kensington Gardens of Kensington Palace. Approximately 101 cars that defined Aston Martin’s legacy were parked . Not only this but Aston Martin’s new commanding chief Zagato was also kept for show.

The A3, which is the oldest surviving car from Aston Martin, built in 1922, was just one of three cars that were ever created. This was the line leader of the show. The A3 piloted the batch of uniquely designed and historic cars, with very diverse body structures and classic locomotives. After the A3s racing days came to end, it was modified afar detection and vanished. But in 2002 the car identified as the A3, was put up for auction. Since it was the oldest car of the company the Aston Martin Heritage Trust, won it in the auction and restored to car to its former and original glory.

Many other cars built during the 1920s were also kept for public viewing, which also included a 1925 Aston Martin Tourer and 1926 Aston Martin Cloverleaf. The final car on display in the long line was the CC100 Speedster Concept, now this a 2 seater sport automobile. This car reminds everybody of the contest winning DBR1, and gives a brief idea on how all future cars of this facility may look like. The car is completely built using carbon fiber on Aston’s VH podium which is the latest technology of the company. Powered by a 6.0 liter V12 block and a 6 speed automated chronological manual diffusion, this car can hit 0-100 Kmph in just four seconds. Even though the car looks a bit bizarre, it definitely packs a huge punch.

As quoted by the CEO of Aston Martin, Dr. Ulrich Bez, “this car is more than a simple ‘birthday present’ to ourselves. It shows that the soul of Aston Martin- the thing that differentiates us from all other car makers- is as powerful as ever”. Many other new cars were also on display like, the DB2 Prototype, DB4 GT Zagato, Mark 2 Long skeleton special sports saloon, new V12 Vantage S and the Vantage Le Mans.
