Aston Martin, the British car maker has introduced a new flagship model named Vanquish S, with more power, and aggressive looks. The car is available in two body styles - Coupe and Volante, and as expected Aston Martin has priced the Vanquish S significantly higher than the regular Vanquish.
Under the hood, the car comes with a same naturally aspirated, 6.0-litre V12 engine, that is tuned to develop 27 bhp more than the regular Vanquish. Now the car produces a whooping maximum power of 595 bhp. This boost of power helps the car to sprint from 0 - 100 km/h under 3.5 seconds. Additionally the car is capable to achieve a top speed of 324 km/h. The jump on the performance may not seem very big on paper but, the British company says that the engine delivers a better throttle response and power delivery due to the redesigned and larger inlet manifolds, which feeds more air to the engine.
In addition to the update of the engine, the car also get an improved 8-speed Touchtronic III transmission, that delivers quicker shifts than the regular Vanquish. The suspension setup has also been updated with altered spring rates, anti-roll bar bushes and damper internals, which results to a better handling car.
On the outside, the new car can be differentiated by an all new aerodynamic package. Some parts of the body made from carbon fibre, that has helped the car to be lighter in its foot. The newly designed front splitter and rear diffuser helps to reduce the frontal lift of the car at very high speeds. One can also opt for optional extra bits like, carbon fibre bonnet louvers, redesigned 5-spoke alloy wheels and custom painted graphics packs.
