Aston Martin and the James Bond 007 movie franchise have a long and prolific collaboration and now the British automaker has decided to elaborate a special edition of the DB9 GT to celebrate the upcoming SPECTRE movie which will be out in November. It’s actually the most powerful production DB9 ever made as its V12 6.0-liter engine has been dialed up to 547 bhp at 6,750 rpm and 620 Nm at 5,500 rpm.

The power transfer is done courtesy of a six-speed TouchTronic II rear mid-mounted gearbox equipped with an electronic shift-by-wire control system. With such an impressive hardware package, it’s no wonder this limited-run DB9 GT will conquer the 0-100 kmph sprint in just 4.5 seconds before reaching a maximum speed of 295 kmph.

As far as the design is concerned, this special edition of the high-performance 2+2 coupe can be visually distinguished by the Spectre Silver exterior paint scheme adorned with discreet 007 Bond Edition badging as well as sterling silver Aston Martin logos. It also has a carbon fiber front splitter and rear diffuser, along with bright aluminum hood vents, side strakes and grille while the brake calipers have been painted in grey and sit behind 10-spoke gloss black diamond turned 20-inch rims.

The Aston Martin DB9 GT Bond Edition also comes with several interior cabin enhancements such as the special Bond Edition startup screen of the new AMi II touchscreen infotainment system while on the rear seat divider there’s a gun barrel embroidery. Moreover, individually numbered sill plaques with the 007 logo have been installed to make the coupe look more special.

Those who will purchase the car are also going to enjoy a series of accessories with a James Bond theme, such as the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150m James Bond Limited Edition watch featuring a special Aston Martin strip created specifically for this occasion.

Aston Martin plans on making only 150 units of this latest special edition DB9 GT and they are asking £165,000 (16.7 million INR) for each car.
