While we all are pre-occupied with how the Aston Martin will take the James Bond's next flick Spectre to the next level, Dr. Andy Palmer, on the other hand is ready with a plan to take the iconic British brand to a new level. Yes, this what Aston Martin CEO Dr. Andy Palmer told the media during the sideline of the ongoing Shanghai Auto Show.
Andy Palmer called it his “Second Century” plan for the Aston Martin and said that the automaker will deliver a "new wave of products that are being developed under the largest investment plan in its 102 year history." He clarified that by 2020, every model in the lineup will be replaced and three all-new models will be added to the product portfolio.
He further added, “The Second Century plan not only delivers exciting and highly desirable new luxury sports cars in the traditional sense, but also embraces new powertrain technology. I have challenged not only convention but also my team to investigate an electric version of the Rapide, a product which will undoubtedly be attractive for the China market."
Dr. Palmer also announced the plans to expand the reach of their popular customization service. They will also integrate it to the company's Special Products Division that will create everything like the unique interiors to the DB10, which is in the new these days for the upcoming James Bond movie Spectre.
