The wait for the launch of the Ather 450X is over with its introduction at a starting price of Rs 99,000. This electric scooter, also referred to as ‘Super Scooter’ is eligible for subsidies. In Delhi, the net cost of the scooter comes to Rs 85,000.
The Ather 450X is offered in two different packages, Plus and Pro. The packages are available in instalments. The Plus package costs Rs 1,699 per month, whereas the Pro is available at Rs 1,999 per month. The customer has the option to interchange the package anytime.

Earlier, Ather Energy had proposed to launch the Super Scooter in two cities, namely Bengaluru and Chennai. Now, they have added eight more such as Ahmedabad, Cochin, Coimbatore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Pune. The Ather 450X is an improved version of the Ather 450.
Compared to the Ather 450 that delivers a power of 5.4kW and torque of 20.5Nm, the Ather 450X produces 6kW of power and a torque of 26Nm. On the mileage front, the Ather 450X delivers 116km under test conditions. On the road, it could offer around 85Km on a single charge. At 108kg, the Ather 450X is a clear 10kg lighter than the Ather 450.
Apart from the Eco and Power driving modes, the Ather 450X comes with a new riding mode, Warp. This mode makes the scooter perform better by clocking 6.50 seconds to race from 0 to 60km/h. Thus, the 450X qualifies as the quickest scooter in India. The charging times have also improved substantially from 1km/min to 1.5km/min.
UI/UX enthusiasts will love this scooter because of the availability of the open-source Android development platform. It necessitates an improvement in the touchscreen instrument cluster.
The Ather 450X is available in three colour combinations, the White-Green, the Grey-Yellow, and the Green-Orange.
