With the A6 Matrix diesel gaining smooth success, Audi India has released 35 TFSI petrol version for the market. The 1.8litre engine pushes out 190bhp of maximum power and 320Nm peak torque from a low 1,400rpm. Sprint to 100kmph from a standstill takes just 7.9 seconds, courtesy a 7-speed S Tronic gearbox, on to a top speed of 233kmph. Power goes to the front wheels and it does not come with quattro. Claimed fuel efficieny figure is 15.26kmpl, which is fair enough for a premium car, with a minimum 95 RON fuel grade. The characteristic Matrix headlamps will adorn the front along with LED tail lamps with dynamic turn signals. The pricing for ex-showroom Delhi and Mumbai is Rs 52.75lakh. Company states it will build on the favourable results of A6, they have made it more efficient, powerful and sophisticated.
Quick responses of the S-Tronic can further be enjoyed by using steering mounted paddle shifters. You may safely presume shifts will be lightning quick.
