Audi India knows how to celebrate. Celebrating five years of the A3 sedan in India, the manufacturer is giving prospective buyers a gift in the form of new revised pricing, which is around Rs 5 lakh lower than the earlier list price or the top end versions.
Audi sells a total of four variants for the A3 sedan and has announced price revisions for all of them. The A3 range now starts from Rs 28.99 lakh(ex-showroom, pan-India) for the base 35 TFSi petrol model, which is a price cut of Rs 4.13 lakh. The base diesel now starts from Rs 29.99 lakh(lowered by Rs 4.94lakh). The fully loaded TFSi technology variant costs Rs 30.99 lakh(lowered by Rs 3.58 lakh) while the TDi technology version will cost Rs 31.99 lakh(lowered by Rs 4.13lakh).
The A3 petrol is powered by a 1.4-litre turbocharge-petrol engine with 150hp and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The diesel gets a 2-litre unit with 143hp and a six-speed dual-clutch automatic.
With the new price announcement, Audi dealers will no longer be offering the steep discounts they were on the A3 sedan. The new prices also make the A3 sedan one of the most competitively priced luxury sedans in the country and should help Audi India push sales against rivals, especially Mercedes, which has been leading sales charts for the last couple of years.
