Audi India has opened its second showroom in the state of Andhra Pradesh to tap the customer base in north costal Andhra districts. The new showroom has been situated in the city of Visakhapatnam, making is the second Audi showroom in the state after Hyderabad.
"The inauguration of Audi Visakhapatnam marks our presence in one of the key emerging markets for luxury automobiles in India and provides us with an opportunity to capitalise on the growing demand for luxury in this region.” Mr Joe King, Audi India head said in a statement. "To tap further into the core growth potential of the luxury automotive market in India, it is important for us to reach out to our customers pan India and deliver to them not only technologically advanced cars but also world class service and experience.” he further added.
Audi Visakhapatnam (M/s Olympus Motors Pvt Ltd) managing director Mr Rajiv Sanghvi said Audi Hyderabad has been a key contributor to the success story in India and they are confident that Audi Visakhapatnam will help further consolidate the company's market share in the region. "At Audi Visakhapatnam, we will ensure that customers are provided with a distinct luxury experience that the brand with the four rings is known for globally," he said.
Furthermore, Audi India head Joe King also announced that the German automaker has now become the first luxury car company to have sold 10,000 cars in a calendar year. The company hopes to expand its network to 40 dealerships by the end of 2014.
