Audi India, the German luxury automaker, going berserk with its expansion plans has announced that it would launch 10 new models in the country in 2015. Joe King, Head, Audi India, confirmed the same at the launch of A3 Cabriolet just a couple of days back. Audi is the lone luxury carmaker to have sold 10,000 units of its luxurious sedans and SUVs in the country for the second consecutive year, since it firstly achieved this feat last year.
"Next year we plan to launch around ten products in the Indian market. It is going to be an exciting and busy year for us," Audi India Head Joe King told PTI. "We are looking to bring in next round of investments into the country, keeping in mind the immense long term potential of the Indian market," King added. The 10 new products, which company intends to launch in the next year, won't be all-new, instead it will be a combination of new variants of existing model range as well as products catering new segments. King was overwhelmed with joy and expressed gratitude towards the people by stating that 2014 is the company's best year so far in India. He also went on to say that the company has already surpassed last year's sales figure and is set to further enhance its market share in the luxury segment.
Audi India would launch the next generation of its flagship SUV Q7 in the country, which would have its public début at the 2015 Detroit Motor Show. Its line-up in India for 2015 also includes the new TT, Q3 facelift and the new A4 sedan. The world première of the 2015 A4 sedan would take place in and around the second half of the next year and it would hit the Indian shores by the end of 2015 or early 2016.
