It seems that the German manufacturers are celebrating the festive mood even after it has a passed. Soon after Mercedes Benz launched the C Class Edition C, or the Celebration edition with AMG body kit, it was time for Audi, who announced the A4 Celebration edition today.
Such special editions are pushed into market to keep the customers involved and to keep the market excited about the new products and the Germens are leaving no stone unturned for this. The A4 Celebration edition is developed on the lines of Q3 Sport. The Celebration edition has been ripped of some features like the projector lamps and Audi MMI in the inside to drop the price of the premium saloon.
The complete details are not out yet but the advertisement that was carried out in a prominent national daily mentioned that the stocks are limited. It is also not clear what engine would be offered with the low cost model, which is actually cheaper by almost 1.5 lakhs in ex-showroom.
The current model carries the a 2.0 litre diesel engine producing a maximum power of 140 bhp and 177 bhp in some versions, while the 3.0 litre TDI engine makes out a maximum power of 241 bhp. Audi also offers the A4 in 1.8 litre TFSI petrol mill, carrying a maximum power of 167 bhp.
When the Q3 Sport was launched, Audi also tweaked the engine for lower power. We expect to do the same with this new Celebration edition model too.
Audi A4 Celebration Edition carries a price tag of Rs. 25.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
