An all-new Audi A5 Coupe has already been confirmed to come out next year, but until then the Ingolstadt-based automaker has prepared another special edition based on the outgoing model. It’s called the DTM selection and only 50 units are going to be manufactured, with all of them featuring a Misano Red paint and glossy black accents on some of the body parts. The vehicle rides on 20-inch Audi Sport alloys that have a five twin spoke design and come with 265/30 R20 tires.
As far as the interior is concerned, open up the door and you will immediately notice the DTM logo projected onto the road thanks to the LED entry lighting that comes as standard. The sleek coupe also gets bespoke door sill trims adorned with the Audi Sport lettering while the cabin has gained bucket seats sourced from the range-topping RS5 which was discontinued several months ago. These seats have a Misano Red backrest cover and the same color can be found on the door and side trims.
Moreover, there’s red stitching applied onto the seats and on the leather-covered, flat-bottomed steering wheel that also is partially wrapped around in Alcantara. The Audi A5 DTM selection can also be visually distinguished by its tinted rear windows and the alloy pedal set that comes as standard.
Its heart and soul is the familiar 3.0-liter TDI 6-cylinder turbodiesel engine producing 245 bhp and a maximum torque of 580 Nm. Power is transferred to the quattro permanent all-wheel drive system via a seven-speed S tronic transmission which enables the model perform the 0-100 kmph run in a more than decent 5.9 seconds before reaching a top speed of 250 kmph which for safety purposes has been electronically limited.
The Audi A5 DTM selection is already available on order across Europe and carries a starting price of €74,540 in Germany.
