Following the launch of the Audi Q5 petrol variant, the German marque launched the Design Edition of the Q3 and Q7. The new edition of the Audi Q3 comes with a starting price of Rs 40.76 lakhs and the Audi Q7 Design Edition gets an introductory price tag of Rs 82.37 lakh (all prices, Ex Showroom).

Speaking on this,  Mr Rahil Ansari, Head, Audi India said, "Audi Q3 has been a segment leader ever since its introduction apart from being our bestselling model. Our flagship SUV Audi Q7 was the only product in its segment in India when it was launched. A popular choice of Bollywood celebrities and big industrialists, the Audi Q7 led the way for the luxury SUV segment in India. With the introduction of the Audi Q3 and the Audi Q7 Design Edition, we are now offering our customers an exciting line up of their preferred vehicle to choose from and own their favorite Audi.”

Speaking of the exterior, the Q3 Design Edition gets R18 5 arm turbine design with contrasting grey and partly polished alloys, body colour tfinishing on the air-dam housing, LED headlamps with signature LED daytime running lights, Audi LED rings entry lights, Rear crystal clear tail lamps, quattro Film set and quattro Entry lights. On the inside, the  new edition Q3 gets nappa leather seats, electrically adjusting front seats, 4 spoke multi-function steering wheel, sporty aluminium tangent inlays and 2-zone automatic air-conditioner as standard. In terms of comfort features, it will get Audi‘s Drive Select, hill-start assist & hill descent assist, electromechanical parking brake, cruise control, parking system plus with reverse camera, coat hanger and key cover in exterior body colour. For the safety, it gets 6 Airbags, electronic stabilisation program and electronic vehicle immobilization device.

While the Q7 Design Edition would boast of sharp striking lines, matrix LED headlamps with signature DRLs, side sculptured 3D single frame grille, inlay strips at the bottom of the doors with quattro embossing, 19 inch 5 Spoke alloy wheels with full paint finish, smoked taillamps and Audi Rings decal on D-pillar. The car will available in 5 exterior paints colours - Carrara white, Floret silver, Samurai grey, Orca black and Galaxy blue. Inside, it will get cricket leather upholstery in black and beige, ambient lighting with 30 combinations, a slim high-resolution retractable MMI display with Navigation plus and BOSE 3D surround sound system, rear seat entertainment and Audi cool bag. That apart, Audi offers Library Quiet’ cabin, which is a benchmark in aero aeroacoustics and the car will be available in seven seat configuration. The car comes equipped with Audi Drive Select - Comfort, Auto, Dynamic, Individual and Off-road along with adaptive air suspension, 360 degree surround camera, electrically adjustable front seats with driver side memory, to name a few. For safety, you get 8 Airbags incl. rear side airbags, tilt angle sensor for Off-road & All-road modes and Audi pre sense.

Mechanically, the Audi Q3 Design Edition is powered by a 2.0 TDI quattro diesel engine that develops 181bhp with 380Nm of top torque, and comes paired with a 7-speed S tronic gearbox. It can accelerate 0 to 100kmph in 7.9 seconds. Whereas, the Q7 will be available in both petrol and diesel guise. The petrol variant is a 2.0 TFSI quattro engine that cranks out 249bhp with 370Nm of torque and can do 0 – 100kmph in 6.9 seconds. The diesel engine is a 3.0 TDI quattro engine that belts out 246bhp with 600 Nm of torque and takes 0.2 seconds more to touch 100kmph from a stand still. Both the engine comes connected to a 8 speed tiptronic transmission.
