Audi India would officially launch the facelift version its entry-level SUV Q3 on June 18, 2015 in the country. The Q3 facelift is German luxury automaker's fifth launch of this year, out of the announced ten. Audi Q3 facelift would come with an array of cosmetic changes at the outside, while the interior cabin boasts of more equipments. Mechanical changes are subtle as the same set of engines now come with more power and mileage.
Talking about the cosmetic changes at the outside, the new Audi Q3 would flaunt a new single-frame grille with larger chrome surrounds. The air-dams are also bigger than before and restyled headlamps could be offered with LED lighting as optional. Both the front as well as rear bumpers have been redesigned and the SUV rides on a new pattern of alloys. The tail-lamp cluster is new as well to bring freshness in the SUV's design. Inside the cabin, there are no changes, but addition of few equipments such as new steering wheel, refreshed instrumentation cluster and updated MMI system.
Audi India introduced the Q3 SUV in June 2012 in the country and it was sold as Completely Built Unit (CBU), until September 2013 when the company started the local manufacturing of the SUV at its Aurangabad production facility. The company went ahead and even launched a price-cut variant Q3 S, which was deprived of 4X4 drive system and the automatic transmission. However, as of now, Audi Q3 is available in the diesel guise only with a 177bhp 2.0L TDI motor. It delivers highest torque performance of 380Nm, while mated with a 7-speed S-tronic automatic transmission. It feature Audi's All-Wheel-Drive system as standard feature. But, it is being said that with the launch of new Q3, the company might also launch the price-cut Q3 S version and the 2.0L TFSI petrol version.
