The endurance race at ‘Watkins Glen’ is very tough and most car manufacturers enter their models for ‘endurance champhionship’. This year, the German car manufacturer, ‘Audi’ has decided to run 2 vehicles in the ‘Grand AM schedule’ of six hours in the race. They have announced that ‘Audi R8 GRAND-AM‘ vehicles would driven by ‘quattro GmbH factory team’ and ‘Fall Line Motorsports’ team. The motorsports are a customer racing team.
In the beginning of 2013 ‘Audi R8 Grand Am’ were declared winners at the ‘Daytona 24 Hours’ race. Audi has introduced a new ‘R8 customer racing program’ and ‘Fall Line Motorsports’ will be the first team which will be racing in No.’46 R8 GRAND AM’ under Audi’s official ‘livery B+’ (be positive). A senior executive from the car manufacturers said when he announced the decision to include ‘Motorsports’ in the customer racing programme that they are experienced and wonderful team and will be an asset. A representative on behalf of the Motorsports also hoped that racing under the famous ‘four rings’ symbol, which represents the best in the sports cars models will help the Motorsports team, which has many years of experience of racing together and have several winnings under their belt, to improve further.
‘R8 GRANd AM’ has a five point two Litre ‘V10” engine, which is strong and durable on race ‘track’. The engine is built to last twelve thousand ‘miles’ before ‘its’ 1st pause for ‘rebuild’. The car has undergone extensive tests in durability and strength at the track at the factory in ‘Nuerburging’. The latest model has a ‘V10 Plus’ engine with five hundred fifty HP. It takes only three point three ‘seconds’ to surge ahead from zero to sixty MPH. The model has a ‘seven speed’ ‘double Clutch S tronic Transmissions’ and also a manual transmission of six Speed. The car comes with new designed lights and decorative stitching for the seats made of leather.
