Audi has recalled its A6 and A7 models in the United States and Canada due to faulty fuel lines that can leak and might result in a fire. More than 52,000 cars built between January 25, 2011 and September 13, 2013 has been affected by this recall. The affected consumers will be informed stating from February 5, 2018 and the faulty fuel lines part would be replaced free of cost.
In a statement, Volkswagen said that the fuel lines have a compression point to make them easier to install. But over the time, these can weaken and may start leaking fuel. Although there have been no reports of fires or injuries till now, this can increase the risk of a fire.
