Audi India has launched the RS6 Avant at a sticker price of Rs. 1.35 Crore (Ex. Showroom, Delhi) in the country. Audi RS6 is something that the Indian audience have never witnessed before in the luxury vehicles as it is the amalgamation of performance and spaciousness in one vehicle. Ace cricketer and Audi's ambassador Virat Kohli was also present on this occasion.
Talking about the RS6 Avant, it flaunts a sculpted front grille with the 'Quattro' badging in bold. There are LED headlamps with arrow-styled LED running lamp in centre. In addition, sporty airdams, bumpers and side skirts further accentuate the overall appearance of the high-performance station-wagon. Just so you know, the Audi RS6 Avant also features an adaptive air suspension that lowers the body by 20mm. The RS6 Avant rides on 20-inch wheels as standard; however, 21-inch wheels are also on offer as optional feature. As expected, it would be sold in the country as Completely Built Vehicle (CBU). Inside the cabin, the performance-oriented estate has electrically adjustable front seats with RS6 embossing.
Under the hood, the RS6 Avant has a 4.0L V8 turbocharged motor which pumps out a healthy power of 552bhp at 5700-6600rpm and peak torque of 700Nm at 1750-5500rpm. It is being linked to an 8-speed tiptronic automatic transmission, which disburses the power uniformly to all the four wheels via Audi’s Quattro AWD system. The car accelerates to 100kmph from standstill in a mere 3.9 seconds, while clocking en electronically limited top speed of 304kmph. For those asking, Audi RS6 Avant is one of the very few vehicles to feature company's Cylinder on Demand technology.
