Audi teases another Q model, could be Q1

Audi has released a teaser image of a new Q model, mostly likely to make its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show 2016. This teaser image was posted on Audi’s official Facebook page, which shows the Q3, Q5, and Q7 SUVs parked in an underground parking and saving a parking slot for the car to come up “soon”.

The teaser quite uninformative, but as the cars are in an ascending order, we can figure it out that the German automaker is expressing something about the future entry level SUV in its product lineup. We cannot confirm if it’s a Q1, but as we mentioned earlier its Q’s range parked so could wear a Q1 moniker. It is expected to launch in the international market by the second half of the 2017 so it is more likely to be the concept that the company will showcase at the Geneva Auto Show 2016.

It is based on a smaller version of the MQB platform, it will be offered with a front-wheel drive, but an AWD system is also on cards as an option. It will be offered in a wide range of petrol and diesel motors, while a range-topping model SQ1 will be join the lineup at a later stage.
