For all racing enthusiasts Formula One race holds a special place. The excitement, the sight and sound of high speed cars racing neck to neck on the track, at very high speed, is an experience that is not to be missed. The racing season starts in Australia in March every year and is always held at the famous Albert Park racing track in Melbourne. This is called the Australian Grand Prix and is the first Formula One race of the year. Melbourne has an air old word charm that makes visitors to this city come back again and again. “Australian Grand Prix” attracts my famous faces to the track as well, and on the racing day you would find celebrities rubbing shoulders with the common people in the paddocks.
Many famous racing cars drivers have described Albert Park as their favorite track. Lewis Hamilton, the legendry racing driver thinks it is very ‘exciting’ to race at Melbourne. The 3 times race winner, Jensen Button says that he always had good experience at Albert Park as he won three races there.
The track at Melbourne is described by drivers as not very difficult. It is tricky sometimes because at turn 3, many drivers find to their grief, that their cars be found on the side of the road instead on the track. Albert Park tract is ‘very green’ and if the weather is good the driver may not have any difficulty in reaching their peak performance. However, though it is winter in Australia the weather is fairly hot but the temperature is likely to drop, it may rain and the track may become slushy. In such weather tyres become very important, making choice of right tyres is crucial to winning or losing a race.
So far it is not possible to make an educated prediction of who is likely to win the race. No Australian driver has yet won this title. May be this time an Australian would be lucky. It is hoped that the Australian driver Mark Webber may get lucky and win the race in 2013. However, the spectators at the Albert Park are looking forward to some grand racing and photo finish ending. The excitement is high and everyone is eagerly waiting for the race to start.
