GM India will showcase Corvette, Camaro sports car & Colorado pick-up and will be the show-stopper at the Chevrolet Pavilion in Hall #5. The company will also reveal reveal two new concept vehicles at during a press conference that will begin at 8:20 a.m. on February 3. And undoubtedly, Chevrolet has many more exciting engagements for the India consumers.
Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray made its entry as the second generation Corvette and was designed by Larry Shinoda with major inspiration from a previous concept design called the "Q Corvette”. The new Corvette Sting Ray gets a fully electronic drop-top, that can be lowered just by a press of a button or remotely using a key fob. It is powered by a 6.2-litre LT1 V8 engine boasts up to an available 460 HP and 630 Nm of torque. It bolts to 60 mph in mere 3.7 seconds.
Originally introduced in 1967, Camaro Z/28 was designed specifically to compete in the Sports Car Club of America’s Trans-Am 2 class. The Camaro Z/28 incorporates a performance-first design philosophy that takes advantage of state-of-the-art, race-proven technology. If we put it in simple words, the Z/28 is designed to dominate the track, lap after lap. It gets a power package of a hand-assembled 7.0L LS7 engine boasting an incredible 505 horsepower and 652 Nm of torque, making it the most powerful normally aspirated regular production GM small block V8 ever.
Over to Chevrolet Colorada pick-up truck, which is a best-in-class horsepower and towing. In U.S market the Colorado is offered in three variants - a 2.5-litre inline four-cylinder engine, a 3.6-litre V6 engine in addition to the Duramax 2.8-litre Turbo-Diesel motor. The Duramax 2.8-litre Turbo-Diesel motor produces 181 HP and best in class torque of 500 Nm, the 3.6-litre V6 engine dishes out 305 HP and 365 Nm peak of torque and the 2.5-litre inline four-cylinder engine churns out 200 HP and 259 Nm of torque.
