Automechanika Istanbul, the leading automotive components and technology fair will be held from April 10th to 13th in Turkey. The international trade fair is famous for showcasing new developments in automobile industry from across the world. This time, the annual event will see more than 1000 exhibitors along with an expected footfall of over 35,000 industry professionals covering five continents. For the very first time, Argentina has emerged as a partner country this year.

The event is classified in a total of seven categories:

Parts & Components – Powertrain, Chassis, Body, Standard parts, Interior, Alternative original equipment drive units, charging accessories, regenerated, restored and renewed parts for cars and commercial vehicles, parts and services for vintage vehicles, Industry institutions and publishers

Electronics & Systems – Engine electronics, Vehicle lighting, Electrical systems, Driver assistance systems, Vehicle safety, Comfort electronics, Industry institutions and publishers.

Accessories & Tuning – General accessories for motor vehicles, Tuning, Customising, Special equipment and modifications, Rims, Wheels, Tyres, Spare sand accessory parts for trailers for cars and small commercial vehicles, E-Mobility for vehicle and charging accessories / accumulator (Conversion, Recycling).

Tyres & Batteries – Tyres for various vehicles, Rims, tubes and casing, Batteries and battery components.

Repair & Maintenance – Workshop equipment and tools, Lifting gears, Testing and measuring equipment, Tyre installation, Body repairs, Paintwork and corrosion protection, Towing service, Accident assistance, Mobile services, Trailers, Waste disposal and recycling, Dealership equipment, Training, Restoration and maintenance of vintage vehicles, Industry institutions & trade publishers.

IT & Management – Dealership planning and construction, Finance & franchise concepts, Claims management and controlling, Dealer management systems, Garage management, Dealership marketing, Internet, institutions & trade publishers.

Service Station & Car Wash – Filling station equipment, Car wash and care, Oil and lubricants, Industry institutions & publishers.

In 2013, interestingly, Automechanika collaborated with Automotive Components Association of India (ACMA) and organised first edition of Automechanika trade fair, decided to be held on biannual basis, in India. A total of 256 exhibitors along with 8096 visitors had attended the 2013 edition.
