Bajaj Auto Dominates Entry and Sports Segments of motorcycles sales
Snapshot: Bajaj Auto rolled out some of the most exciting new models in 2015 which resulted in domination of the brand in Entry and Sports Segments
In an exclusive press conference in Mumbai, the Pune based automaker has announced that the company are now leaders in Entry Level and Sports motorcycles combined. According to the information announced in the conference, Bajaj Auto is now growing tremendously in Entry level and Sports segment of motorcycles. With the launch of motorcycles like CT100, Pulsar AS200 and AS150, the new breed of Avengers Street/Cruise and the most famous among all the RS200, the Pune based motorcycle maker has dominated the goals for 2015 that were shared with analysts in 2014 December.
In the first 9 month of the financial year, Bajaj Auto’s market shares rocketed from 23% to 36% in the entry segment. Bajaj Auto is now the leaders with a 36% market share in Entry and Sports segment together that makes 43% of the Industry. The company sold oodles of entry level commuter motorcycles in the first 9 months of the year, and the number reached to 6.81 Lakh as against 3.83 lakh last year.
Speaking on this milestone, Mr Eric Vas, President (Motorcycle Business) Bajaj Auto said, “In a challenging environment for the automobile industry, Bajaj Auto maintained positive momentum as a result of a well-crafted strategy - Superior Customer Value through Differentiated Products and Strong Brands. By the introduction of new Products such as the CT100 and the new Platina, we strengthened our position in the Entry level segment. In the Sports segment we enhanced our leadership position through the launch of the Pulsar RS 200, Pulsar AS 200 & 150 and the exciting Avenger Cruise 220 and Avenger Street 220 & 150.”
