Bajaj Auto to Launch the New Avenger Soon

Good news for all the Avenger Fans out there. We mean ‘Bajaj Avenger’ ofcourse, not the Marvel’s one. Bajaj Auto plans on launching the more powerful and one of the most famous cruisers of India in the end months of 2016. The new Avenger will be based upon the Pulsar 200NS’s engine that delivers 23.4bhp of power. Apart from the mechanical upgrades, the new Avenger will also feature new cosmetic changes to stay updated as time demands.

Bajaj Avenger being almost a decade old is one of the most desired cruiser motorcycles in India, and soon will be gifted with a new powerful engine that will sure prove fruitful for Bajaj. S Ravikumar, head business development, said, “Our market share at the retail level has improved to 19.2 per cent by the end of June quarter. With the new Avenger due in Q3, new Pulsars have been very well received and the Discover 125 launched recently domestic volumes are expected to go up.”

The engine on 200NS is a known to be super refined and vibration free; it is a 199cc unit that produces a peak power of 23.3bhp at 9500rpm and 18Nm of torque at 8000rpm. Earlier Avenger utilized 5-speed transmission but with the new engine, Avenger will now be using a 6-speed transmission.
