Bajaj Auto has dropped a teaser of its upcoming new Avenger 180 Street motorcycle with ABS, prior to its India launch. The inclusion of an ABS unit comes as a new mandate for all upcoming bikes in India, starting April 2019. Moreover, one of India’s most popular two-wheeler manufacturers is expected to officially introduce the Avenger 180 Street ABS version in a matter of a month or two.
The all-new 2019 Bajaj Avenger Street 180 ABS is powered by a 178cc air-cooled DTS-i engine that can generate 15.5 PS of peak power and 13.7 Nm of max torque and paired to a five-speed gearbox. The Avenger 180 Street cruiser characteristics are evident from its huge wheels, as it sports 17-inch and 15-inch alloy wheels in the front and rear and also respectively fitted with 90/90-17 and 130/90-15 tyres.
Just like the Bajaj Avenger 220 motorcycle, the Bajaj Avenger 180 Street bike will also be equipped with a single-channel ABS unit fitted with a sensor called RLP or Rear-Lift Protection.
The recently spotted Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise ABS will also make its official arrival in the Indian market in the near future. In terms of pricing, the new Avenger 220 Cruise ABS is expected to be offered at an amount of Rs 1.02 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The Avenger 180 Street ABS price is expected at Rs 93,000 (ex-showroom), with the existing non-ABS Avenger model selling at Rs 86,611 (ex-showroom Delhi).
