The grand launch of the Bajaj Chetak EV will happen sometime around January 2020.

A round LED headlamp with horseshoe-shaped LED DRLs are the first things that you see on this scooter. Other styling features include LED side turn indicators and vertical air vents. The split-styled LED taillamp looks elegant. The round-shaped digital instrument cluster provides a wealth of information.
Intelligent all the way
The digital instrument cluster features Bluetooth connectivity that enables you to connect your smartphone using a dedicated app. It provides you with valuable information such as battery range, service-due indicator, speed, and regular phone functions like messages, calls, and other notifications.
Comfort and convenience of the highest order
The single-piece seat looks majestic while providing the highest level of satisfaction to the rider and the pillion alike. The extended footboard offers ample legroom for the rider. This scooter comes with cute storage spaces in the form of small cubbyholes as well as a dedicated storage space with a lid.
No more bumpy rides
The single-sided telescopic suspension for the front wheels and the spring set-up for the rear wheel protects you from bumps and jerks on the road. The scooter comes with disc brakes on the front wheels and drum brakes for the rear. Additionally, the scooter has CBS. The 12-inch alloy wheels with 90/90 section MRF tyres add to the overall physical appearance of the scooter.
The Bajaj Chetak EV comes in six exciting colors, black, white, silver, blue, red, and beige.
Though details are not immediately available, the Bajaj Chetak will run on an IP67 rated battery pack. It can be charged with a standard 5-15 Amp household electric outlet. Bajaj Chetak EV is available in two riding modes, Sport and Eco. The mileage performance is expected at around 85km and 95km on a single charge, respectively. The Intelligent Braking Management System plays its role in controlling the charging and discharging of the battery.
Last but not least, the price
The expected on-road price of the Bajaj Chetak EV will be around Rs 1.25 lakhs. Sold through Bajaj’s Pro-Biking dealership, the scooter will initially be available in Pune and Bengaluru from January 2020.
