Bajaj grows by nine per cent in the month of June
Snapshot: Domestic growth has been doing fine for Bajaj but same couldn’t be said for exports as the company recorded a significant dip in the number of exports last month.
The Pune based auto maker, Bajaj Auto has recorded a healthy nine per cent growth in the month of June. Bajaj Auto sold more than 1.68 lakh motorcycle last month as compared to 1.54 lakh motorcycle that were sold in the corresponding month of 2015. Domestic growth has been doing fine for Bajaj but same couldn’t be said for exports as the company recorded a significant dip in the number of exports last month.
When compared to 1.32 lakh motorcycle exported in the month of June 2015, the company exported just 1.06 lakh motorcycle abroad this June. If the exports might have remained constant, Bajaj’s growth might have rocketed up way above the current figures. The commercial vehicle department experienced the similar dip in sales figures as company recorded 22 per cent rise in domestic market on the contrary 20 per cent dip in the commercial vehicle export figures.
The all new V15 has helped the Bajaj to grow strong in the commuter segment and same could be said regarding the Avenger 150 Street as well. Apart from these, Bajaj also gained good profit after the launch of CT100 last year. All of the three motorcycle together crossed over 90,000 units and helped the company to retain a strong position in the Indian two wheeler industry.
