Bajaj Auto has launched the new Pulsar 220F with ABS following minor upgrades in the recent past and this time it comes with a higher price tag of Rs. 1,05,250/-, i.e., Rs. 7600/- higher than the non-ABS model which sells for Rs. 97,670/- (ex-showroom, Pune).
India’s most loved sports bike will now come with single-channel ABS, refined 220cc engine, new graphics and new crash guard.
The new Pulsar 220F is expected to get the same single-channel ABS system as on the Bajaj RS 200 and the Bajaj NS 200. The powerplant in the Bajaj Pulsar 220F is a single-cylinder 220cc engine that can churn 20.9 PS of max power at 8500 RPM and 18.5 Nm of peak torque at 7000 RPM.
The Bajaj Pulsar 220F is still in demand and remains the most admired entry-level sports motorcycle in India. And now with the launch of the 220F ABS model, Bajaj seems certain to continue its long run with its popular sports bike in the Indian market.
As per new regulations by the Indian government, it is now compulsory for motorbikes over 125cc to have ABS prior to April 2019 when the rule comes into effect. Bajaj has timely launched the new model in compliance with the new safety norms. Bookings for the upgraded Pulsar 220F are already being accepted by some dealers even before the units reach the showrooms. Deliveries of the new Bajaj Pulsar 220F ABS are expected to begin in the near future.
