Bajaj RE60 is a cheap vehicle which has engine at the back and it can seat 4 passengers.  The car is to be released in India and Bajaj Auto, the transport company which makes the maximum number of three and two wheelers, has unveiled its four wheeler model in the year ‘2012’.  The company had named the four wheeler the ‘Bajaj RE60’ is expecting a clearance from the government to introduce it to the Indian car and scooter market soon.  In 2012 Bajaj announced that the vehicle uses fuel efficiently,

‘Bajaj REG60’ has a sturdy body, and doors, which are good for the safety of the passengers as well as drivers.  Its engine runs on two hundred cc petrol and is capable of achieving nearly seventy KMP.  However the regular speed is roughly thirty-five KMPL.  Therefore ‘Bajaj REG60’ has lower speed and mileage then small cars, e.g. Tata Nano, which is its chief competitor in small car market.

The vehicle has applied for license and is now waiting to hear from the Ministry of Road Transport.  The government has announced that they have discussed and decided to create a fresh slot for ‘quadricyles’ under the ‘Central Motor Vehicles Rules’.  They would also like to look at the rules under which quadricycles are licensed in the ‘European Union’.

The three-wheeler autos are chief means of transport for short distance for general public.  They provide a very valuable service of connecting public transport system, like government or private transport buses, metros or local rail system to offices, shopping areas or other urban centers.  With the introduction of the quadricycle vehicles it would be easier for the general public to travel within the urban areas. A chief executive of the Bajaj Autos announced in a press conference that they are very happy and anxiously awaiting the news that they can finally put their quadricycles on the Indian roads.
